Beautiful Boy is a great read for someone who would like to open their mind to the world of addiction. I read this book on my lunch break while working at a community mental health clinic (where nearly every patient was dealing with addiction) and it was a great way to attempt to understand what not only the addicted patient was going through, but also the family of the addict. Some people may feel that it gets a bit drawn out throughout the book, but I honestly feel that addiction is drawn out and David Sheff did an awesome job of reiterating that through this book.
All in all, its an amazing book - if you have a history with addiction or just want to read an amazingly captivating book.
