Save Heat: An Amateur's Adventures as Kitchen Slave, Line Cook, Pasta-Maker, and Apprentice to a Dante-Quoting Butcher in Tuscany (Vintage)

This book was a delightful read. His experiences as an apprentice cook are funny. His take on Polenta, a northern Italian corn dish, was especially funny, as I had a mother-in-law who grilled me on how to cook this dish. After she died, I tweaked it a bit. My husband then made the statement that mine was better than hers. Whether you cook or not, his telling of his experiences are wonderful reading.Get more detail about Heat: An Amateur's Adventures as Kitchen Slave, Line Cook, Pasta-Maker, and Apprentice to a Dante-Quoting Butcher in Tuscany (Vintage).
